Sauna whisks (vihta) are bundles made from young branches with leaves. They can be made from oak, birch, eucalyptus or hemp. They are used for body massage and produce a pleasant forest aroma. Ideally, one person gently strikes the other's body, which improves blood circulation and creates a warming sensation. Whisks can also be used to splash water on the heater, producing a burst of aromatic steam. The most common are birch whisks, which are what we offer. We handcraft our whisks to ensure the best quality for our guests.
